The Timken Company Charitable Trust was established in 1947 to support the communities where Timken associates live and work. Each year, the Trust awards grants to non-profit agencies in the United States that are helping to strengthen our communities. In the picture above Mike Ziarko, Timken’s recently appointed Plant Manager is presenting Erin Abney, the Preble County Art Association’s Board President, with a donation check of 2,000 dollars. These monies will aid the organization, in these frugal times, by filling the funding need for the 2012’s Children’s Art Camps. This programming will provide arts education and summer entertainment for area children, inspiring them to continue to seek creative outlets throughout their lives. Thankfully Mike Ziarko and the Timken Charitable Trust share The Arts Association's interest in arts education for Preble County and the surrounding areas.
